Tien Tran

LACI PResident

Tien (he/him) is a junior from San Jose, California studying Business Administration with minors in Digital Entrepreneurship and Real Estate Development. He joined LACI in Fall 2022 and has previously served as Vice President of Internal Relations and a Team Lead. As President, Tien oversees LACI’s administrative aspects and supports the rest of the executive team, directors, and members in their initiatives and project work. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, playing video games, exploring LA, and cooking.

Kavita Sundaram

Vice President of Projects

Kavita is a Junior majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Applied Analytics and Environmental Studies. This is her fifth semester in LACI, and she’s previously been a team lead as well as a director of projects. As current VP of projects, she oversees client recruitment and manages the project cycles of each team. This past summer she was a marketing intern at Visa. Kavita is from Northern California and enjoys music, the outdoors, and cooking.

Aditi Ajoy

Vice President of Human Resources

Aditi is a sophomore from Seattle, WA majoring in Business Administration. This is her third semester in LACI and she is currently VP of HR. As VP of HR, she runs student recruitment, faciliates new member training and promotes general member wellbeing. Aditi is passionate about the intersection of social impact, business and entertainment. This past summer, she was a Financial Advisory intern at Baird where she researched climate investments. In her free time, Aditi loves reading, trying new restaurants, and traveling.

Amay Baweja

Vice President of Fellowship

Amay is a junior from Detroit, MI studying Finance and Accounting. This is his fourth semester in LACI and he currently serves as VP of Fellowship and a Project Team Lead. As VP of Fellowship, Amay organizes social events and focuses on fostering an engaging and inclusive LACI environment. He is passionate about creating meaningful social impact and driving innovative change in the business and healthcare fields. Last summer, Amay worked at Chartwell Financial Advisory as an investment banking intern. In his free time, Amay enjoys tennis, hiking, going to concerts, exploring LA, and trying new restaurants.

Emily Wu

Vice President of External Relations

Emily is a junior from the Washington D.C Area studying Business and Artificial Intelligence. This is her fifth semester in LACI, and she previously served as a team lead and Director of XR. As Vice President of External Relations, Emily organizes professional development events and directs LACI’s marketing strategy. This past summer, she worked as an analyst for Guggenheim Investments. She is interested in how the intersection between technology and finance can create tangible social impact. In her free time, Emily loves escape rooms, cafe-hopping, and contemporary art museums .

Samarth Sogani

vice President of Internal Resources & Finance

Samarth Sogani is a junior from Princeton, New Jersey studying Business Administration and Computer Programming. This is his fourth semester in LACI, and he’s previously served as a Director of Finance. Samarth’s role as VP of IR & Finance entails coordinating internal professional development and managing the finances of LACI. Next summer, he will be interning with PJT Partners in their Technology Investment Banking team. In his free time, Samarth loves gardening, football, and camping.
